The Clinical Procedural Skills course allows first and second year medical students the opportunity to learn hands on skills.
Students will learn and demonstrate the following skills:
- Splinting
- Shoulder Injection & Knee Aspiration
- Lumbar Puncture & Sterile Technique
- Airway Management
- IV Insertion
- Arterial Blood Gas Sampling
- EKG Lead Placement
- Urinary Catheterization
- Nasogastric Tube Insertion
- Breast Examination
- Pelvic Examination with Thin Prep Pap Test
- Rectal & Prostate Examination
- Simple Interrupted Suturing
